Make sure to change your batteries in your smoke detectors.

In the beginning of November, we experienced Daylight Savings time which is referred to as "Fall Back" and changed our clocks.  Did you remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors? Keeping the batteries fresh in your home's smoke detectors is very important in preventing fires, fire damage, and smoke damage to your home.  Please take the time to download the proper instruction manual and/or online tutorial for you individual smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home. Most smoke detectors take 9 volt batteries, but that can vary from detector to detector.  Many firemen say keeping the batteries fresh in your home's smoke detectors and regularly checking them to make sure they are working properly are the most important thing you can do to help keep you and your family safe from a fire.
